The World According to Kanye
CONTEXT
Wonder Shuttle and pxlfctry collaborated to create The World According to Kanye, a book of quotes by the famous rapper-producer-artist Kanye West. Inspired by the other "The World According to" publications, the book aimed to shed a new light on the artist, contrasting the negativity around his brand as portrayed by mass media.
CREATIVE CONCEPT
The book was made to be a coffee table book; one for casual browsing. With that concept in mind, we intended the design of the book to be very simplistic, especially with the graphics, as they only served to complement the quotes. The overall idea behind this simplistic portrayal is to let the words speak for themselves; to let Kanye himself fill in the tone of the book through the quotes with his big personality.
PROMOTIONAL RESULTS
